27th November 2009

Audit by the British Standards Institute.  Our second audit since being awarded the British Standards Institute Kitemark BS EN206-1 BS8500 in June 2008.

Highly commended by the BSI Auditor on the procedures and methods of operation.  A faultless audit which the Directors and staff at DK Concrete Limited are very proud.

 

 


 

 

3rd August 2009

Opening of a satellite site near Yaxley, Peterborough.  This enables us to also serve customers in Peterborough and the surrounding areas with the same convenient and excellent service that we provide from our site in Corby.

 


 

8th July 2009

Delivery taken of another vehicle.  This now takes our fleet to 5, thereby increasing our volume capabilities by a quarter.  We are now able to deliver 400m³ per day.

 


 

14th January 2009

Completion of a slab pour for MARS Construction, consisting of 245.2m³ of an RC35 pumpmix.

Initially the order requirement was for 250m³, providing a cost saving of 4.8m³ over estimate.

 


 

27th November 2008

First audit since being accredited by the British Standards Institute.  Audit passed and BS EN206-1 BS8500 Accreditation awarded for the next 12 months.

 


 

20th September 2008

Successfully completed the pour for WS Gewerbebau GmbH at the Lidl, Corby store of 295.6m³ of a C25 Pumpmix in 6½ hours.  We had vehicles continously on site waiting in line to offload into the pump. 

Our client was very impressed and could not fault the service that we provided.

Our volumetric vehicle pricing structure meant that delivery of 295.6m³ against their initial estimate of 330m³ gave them an actual saving of 34.4m³.

 


 

10th September 2008

Awarded the contract to supply concrete to Dean & Dyball Rail who are building Corby Railway Station.  As part of this, we have to provide a C35 mix that requires an achieved strength of 10Nm within 8 hours. Cube results show that we actually received a strength of 20.5Nm in 19 hours.

 


 

5th September 2008

Following a very competitive tendering process, we were successfully awarded the contract from W.S. Gewerbebau GmbH to supply concrete for the building of the new Lidl supermarket in Corby.

This contract will see us providing a continous pump pour of approx. 330m³.

 


 

6th June 2008

Following British Standards Institute assessment, we were successfully awarded the British Standards Kitemark Award to BS EN206-1 BS8500.

This makes us the first and only purely volumetric ready mix concrete company in the area to receive this prestigious award.
